Considered the "cashmere" of alpacas, superfine is incredibly soft and wearable, sheared from alpacas that range at over 10,000 feet in the Andes mountains, the fiber from these high altitudes and cold-weather grazing animals is softer, with more thermal capacity than their lowland cousins. Alpaca Tweed colors are made with three strands of undyed, natural alpaca twisted together to create a yarn that is lofty, plush, and deliciously textured.

Naturally hypoallergenic, free of lanolin or dander, and water and fire resistant, these fibers are a pleasure to wear against the skin.

You'll need about 3 skeins (these giant skeins are 560-600 Yards Each!) for a luscious, delicious luxury sweater, same for a lovely throw (this yarn is great for afghans and blankets). Positively luscious for soakers, too!
