Heather ROCKS!

HELLO!!!

I’m Heather Dixon, a long time friend of FABULOUS YARN. Some of you may know me from my work as a designer for Army of Knitters, Rowan, The Bagsmith, or one of the other many yarn companies I have created patterns for. If not, then let me tell you a little bit about myself….

Originally from near Nottingham in England, where I taught myself to knit, study Fashion Design, then graduate with a BA (Hons) in Knitwear Design from The Nottingham Trent University. After designing for many different companies in England, Italy and New York City, I ran away to the mountains of upstate New York to start my own design business. It is there where I stumbled across the headquarters of Fabulous Yarn and a wonderful relationship began.

It is with a great deal of excitement that I announce my latest venture! I’ll have my own “corner” of the Fabulous Yarn website where I’ll be able to blog about all things yarnie! I’ll review yarns, accessories, books, gadgets, and everything to do with knitting and crochet. There will be knit-a-longs, crochet-a-longs, video tips and techniques, yarn and pattern recommendations, exclusive Fabyarns designs, and lessons. You’ll also be able to chat with me and join in with discussions about projects, yarns and my patterns.

I can’t wait to meet you all, so please leave me a comment telling me a little bit about yourself too. If you have any ideas on what you would like me to review or discuss, please let me know. We’re going to have so much FUN!!!
